We are happy to take more pictures or answer questions.

Langdorf & Sons States Girl Postcards
Around the turn of the century, sending postcards to friends was all the rage. People started collecting the postcards they received or just purchased them to give as gifts or enlarge a collection.
The States Girls postcards were specialty cards commemorating the states who were part of the U.S. at that time.
They were very popular then and still are today! Many postcard collectors enjoy trying to accumulate all 45 postcards that were issued in this collection.
I collected these cards many years ago will add them to this page over the next few months. They are really fun postcards that would be great framed and hung on the wall.

Carnival Glass came into being in 1907 with the Fenton Glass Company. It wasn't long before many other glass companies began producing the very popular glass that was initially given away as prizes at local carnivals and fairs.
The Northwood Glass Company became one of the premiere makers of Carnival Glass in the Golden Age of Carnival Glass.
We have two pieces of this beautiful glass For Sale!
Northwood Marigold "Memphis" Berry Bowl
What could be more Country than a berry bowl! At one time this beautiful bowl would have been avidly competed for at a country fair as the prize of a carnival game. If someone wanted an entire berry set they would be trying to win at least 4 of these individual berry bowls and one large serving bowl in the same glass pattern and color.
This bowl would have been made around 1908. This pattern is very collectible as Carnival Glass is became an official 'antique' in 2007.
Small print for glass collectors: no chips, no cracks, no chiggers. Perfect condition. Deep pumpkin marigold color. Approx. 4" wide 2" tall.
Northwood Marigold Double Loop Open Sugar/Chalice
This lovely piece was produced between 1918 - 1915. It was mostly made in colbalt blue glass and an aqua opalescent. The marigold color, as this piece is, is considered a rare color for this pattern.
The iridescent quality of this piece is very impressive and that is what Carnival Glass is really about. The beautiful mixture of 'oil spill' colors that cover the glass.
In it's day it was called 'the poor man's Tiffany Glass'.
Small print for glass collectors: no chips, no cracks, no chiggers. Perfect condition. Deep pumpkin marigold color. Approx. 4-1/4" wide 3-3/4" tall.
What country lady doesn't love fine bone china. We don't need the whole set to enjoy the lovely floral patterns and delicate look of cheerful china. In fact, a mixture of great pieces sitting on the sideboard or decorating the kitchen walls is a joy all it's own.
Here are a few pieces of quality china pieces that are sure to bring a smile, provide useful service and lots of fun to your country home.
Royal Worcester Fine Bone China mint/butter dishes
This is a set of two (2) dishes from England, home of some of the prettiest bone china in the world.
These dishes are bright white (although the picture doesn't really look like it) with soft lavender flowers and perfect gold rims.
They are 3-3/4" wide with upturned rims that make them just over 1/2" tall. They would make perfect mint dishes, pin trays, jewelry bowls, hanging accents or even dinner butter dishes.
Royal Worcester has long been a reknown maker of some of England's finest bone china. These are great pieces with no chips, no cracks, no chiggers, and no crazing.
R. S. Germany Handpainted Bone China
For years I longed to own some of this stunning and delicately handpainted china. Of course, this desire led to having way too much of it! So here is a beautiful berry bowl for sale.
It is marked R.S. Germany on the bottom and is graced with lovely ivory cabbage roses and twining rose stems against a gray and green hazy background.
This little dish will go a long way towards satisfying the need for one of these lovely pieces of bone china.
This berry bowl measures 5-1/2" wide and 1-1/4" tall. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. A bit of the gold on the rim is missing but it doesn't detract from this beautiful bowl.
Auctions are in the blood if you live in the country. Whether it's livestock auctions, equipment auctions or good old fashion auction house auctions, they are FUN!!
Admittedly, online auctions don't have the crowds, the smell or the occassional bout of bad weather to endure, but they can be fun too.
CAUTION: If you haven't done this much before you might get Auction Fever!! How do you think I got all this stuff to begin with? Got it with lots of fun and cheers of success. But now it's time for some of my things to find new homes and bring their cheer to someone else.
To see our eBay Auctions search for auctions by my eBay name: Emberlin.
